Fast Temperature Calibrators

The most widely used industrial temperature calibrator is the Dry Block sometimes called a metal bock bath, block bath or just a ‘temperature calibrator’. When speed is the most important factor the Isotech Fast-Cal is very fast to reach and stabilise to temperatures from -35°C to 140°C with a 25 mm well. There are also two handheld Dry Blocks, the Quick Cal High and Quick Cal Low.

Dry Blocks

At higher temperatures liquids cannot be used and the Isotech Gemini, Jupiter and Medusa calibrators can be used to calibrate all sensor types including RTDs, PRTs, Dial Thermometers, Thermocouples and Thermistors from 35°C to 700°C. There are a range of standard inserts with pockets to suit a wide range of temperature sensors and we can design and manufacture custom inserts to suit your needs.

Reference Standards and Measuring Instruments

Reference Thermometers

True laboratory standards such as a Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer (SPRT) are too fragile for industrial applications. Our “Semi-Standard” PRTs are purpose designed to calibrate industrial thermometers, they are metal sheathed and both less fragile and more affordable than SPRTs. We also have Semi Standard Thermocouples and together can cover the range from -200°C to 1300°C.

Automating Temperature Calibration

Our software for automatic temperature calibration can control Isotech calibrators and instruments, automatically step through a series of temperature calibration points and log calibration results. In addition to printing calibration certificates for industrial thermometers the software can calculate temperature calibration coefficients and correction tables.
