ITS-90 CALCULATIONS MADE EASIER
The International Temperature Scale of 1990 (ITS-90) provides the framework for precision temperature measurement using Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometers (SPRTs).
The new Isotech SPRT Calculator makes it easier to work with the ITS-90 interpolation equations, supporting calibration laboratories and anyone working with precision platinum resistance thermometers.
The calculator provides a range of useful functions:
- Calculate ITS-90 coefficients from calibration data
- Convert resistance to temperature and temperature to resistance
- Work with ITS-90 interpolation equations across the supported subranges
- Explore the relationship between calibration points, coefficients and temperature
- Save calibration data and export results for future reference
TWO CALCULATORS FOR PLATINUM RESISTANCE THERMOMETERS
The new SPRT Calculator complements Isotech’s recently updated PRT / RTD Calculator, which uses the Callendar–Van Dusen relationship defined in IEC 60751.
Together, the two online tools support a wide range of applications, from industrial Pt100 thermometers to precision reference PRTs and SPRTs.
ITS-90 interpolation is not restricted to SPRTs. It can also be appropriate for stable, individually calibrated industrial PRTs, including Isotech’s Semi-Standard PRTs, where the performance of the thermometer justifies this approach.
Both calculators are available online, providing practical resources for temperature calibration professionals.
